    Default Mk2. Warden

An Mk2 warden which was originally factory painted khaki green, then over painted black, & white W to front & rear with the rim also being painted white.
If the white rim being painted was for rank or some sort of recognition, if the anti gas curtain was being worn this would have been hidden.
The liner is dated 1939, I expect the shell is too.

A well worn example, but I like the been there done that look, but I also like minters as well, all are good.

Interesting about the placement of the white lines, maybe to make it more visible in the black out rather than rank, though as you say it would be hidden if the gas curtain was being used.
