MkII DECONTAMINATION

Black painted MkII with DC to the front of helmet, Decontamination. It once was a RP/R ( repair party/ roads) marked helmet, quite visible under the DC, this reissuing of helmets was very common.
The liner nut & bolt has been replaced by a sort of rivet, the owner probably got fed up with the nut & bolt continually getting loose.
I think the shell was made by BMB & is dated 1939, the liner is, & is also dated 1939.
