I'd say the leather sweatband looks to be 19 BMB "X"3
.. Which it should do, ... it would be unusual to see, if not slightly worrying to see a web strap with a 42 dated liner.
Looks ok in my opinion, BMB stands for "Briggs Motor Bodies".

Looks like a nice 1944 dated Mk2 HSAT, but as with most British helmets has been used post war & as such been repainted.
Original dark brown paint is inside.
42's into 43's were the fibre rim (42 dated), and the leather strap (4 hole) (42-43 dated) liners.
A 42 web strap would not fit in the timeline with the stages of development / production of the helmet.
web strap is dated 1943
so it is original paratrooper helmet but painted post war
