Odd Flashed British Mk II ?

Found this one, very similar, but flash to front of helmet not side.
It was marked as Irish, but this info could be wrong, but thought you might be interested.

Many thanx Aaron was there any additional information regarding this Mk II such as War time or Post war applied unit designation etc...

No, pretty sure it was put on the net about 4-5 years ago, so they probably had less info about helmet markings than we do now.

Hi guys,

No doubt about this insignia, it's an Irish Defence Insignia.
This insignia was used between 1941 and 1955.
Ofen sale as a good british ww2 helmet... for money...
