Opinion on this CDN Mk.II

Article about: It has an incorrect liner and nut and bolt, looks like a British nut and bolt if real at all, shell is good. I do not like the net either as the Canadian ones, for the better part were tight

    Hi Guys,

Would like to know what kind of liner and chin-strap on this CDN Mk.II.

It's first time for me to see such liner/chin strap. Post war?

All I have are these photos.

A nice early shell, but the liner looks to be a repro or maybe a foreign one, chin strap might be British.

Not 100% sure on the net, not that I'm saying it's wrong.

Hi Taka I am sitting in the airport so all I have is my smart phone no access to reference material I like Aaron really like the shell but IMO the liner is not Canadian I am really unshur what it is I do have a nagging feeling though it is European post war I am positive I have seen this type of liner before .
As to the chinstrap hard to get a good look on my little screen but Ithink I have a Canadian Mk II at home with this type of chinstrap and buckle unfortunately I cant give you a definate answer till I gey back next week on that .
The crucifix pad looks ok but I really do not like the liner retention nut and bolt I would hold off and wait for an unmolested example .
Or if you would like I may be of some assistance in helping you locate an early Canadian Mk II to add to your collection .

    Regards Mark K

Perhaps best to wait for an untouched example as they can still be found for sensible money.
