Possible American m1917a1

Hello, so I am back again with another question. I was browsing online an stumbled across this helmet. He has it listed as an American m1917 with a refitted liner for ww2. He claims that the liner was made during the 1930s. I don't know a whole lot about these helmets, but I have never seen this kind of liner before. It looks very different than any of the other liners I have seen, which makes me looks at it suspiciously. Is everything in this helmet actually genuine and original, or is it a post war liner as I assume. I am asking this just as a way of learning more about m1917 and m1917-a1 helmets. Thanks!

I don't know what kind of liner that is but I can tell you that it is not an m1917a1. This is an m1917a1 liner:

That's exactly what I thought. So I assume this is some sort of post war liner for a civil defense use. I mean, it looks nothing at all like any war time liner I have seen. Just wonder which country it belongs to.
