"RP" on HSAT lid?

Hi friends,
I've seen a hsat lid that has the letters "RP" painted on the front with chunky white letters. No liner. Anyone who knows?

I'm fairly sure thats a Dispatch riders helmet.
Possibly RP is Regimental Police?It also looks like a divisional flash on the side too.Blue and white..Signal corps?..

Yep, it's a DR helmet, not sure if the letters are WW2 or post.
