From the research I have done, I found that VERO was the company that made the liner's. I'm not sure if they made the helmets. I also found another marking on the liner band that is just below the strap side. It is a C with and arrow going thru it pointing up and below that are the #468 ,
A C with an arrow or "Crows foot" seems to me to be the Canadian WD marking as opposed to W arrow D on british kit. John.

Re: Scottish/ British WW2 Brodie ??
Hi, It's a british helmet, dated 1938-39, the little c with an arrow through it, is not the same one the canadians used on there kit. I have seen it on loads of british helmets. As for the emblem to the front of the helmet? sorry i have'nt a clue, could be ww2 or done post war. Aaron.

I agree 85Ronnies,
Looks like a thistle to me, but I live at the other end of the country!
I expect that Ewan Stirling would be the chap to ask?
Cheers,
