St Johns Ambulance MKII Helmet

Article about: Morning gents, I have been looking at this one and wondered what your thoughts about it are? Personally I think it looks ok, the stamped naming to the inside appears to be period with matchi

    I am currently the keeper of this helmet and recently found this article in the St John Ambulance "First Aid Journal" December 1940 issue, with reference to S H Larner.

    This helmet features in “the book” (page 195) - the image was kindly provided by the then owner...at least two owners ago.....nice to see it still around and bringing joy. I don’t doubt it’s authenticity....but as Aaron said, it must’ve burned a few drill bits!
