Turtle helmet Camo original?

Dear members I"ve been offered this Turtle helmet.
This helmet shelll has a weird camo?
And so I think it"s fake????
Might it be original?

As there seems to be no original textured paint underneath, most likely repainted post war.
But by whom?

It is original, but likely repainted either post-war or near the end as a souvenir or the original soldier did it.

A picture of the liner would help alot
I need to see its interiorcolour too
Like german Camos, you cant say it to 100%
Ive seen MK2 brodies and vehicles with this camo on pictures from the 8th army
The MK3 was too late introduced for this ära

I am the owner of the helmet and the liner and interior painting is also kind of strange.
while removing the liner which looked post war to me i discovered a stamp (BMB 1944 and D.M.C 1944 S), see the pictures!

Liner looks to be a reproduction, or post war European made one.
Paint inside like the outside, has been repainted post war.

The liner is a post war Dutch made liner. These liners were fitted in MkII's and MkIII's that were relegated by the army to the PTT (Post Telegraph Telephone).

Used into the eighties. Painted black mostly, with either white painted PTT on the front or a sticker with the same abbreviation. So the camo was a hobbyist's work.

No patina to the paint and it looks like its had some sort of wash applied to try to age its appearance.
