    Very nice example. I think this are often under appreciated from a collector point of view. I do remember as a kid they were stacked in the old Army / Navy stores for a few bucks a piece too!

    I picked up my m1917 helmet a few years ago at a flea market for $12.
    But it is nowhere near as nice as the one posted above.

    I had a near mint one that I got from the Army / Navy store as a kid. Went to college, came back and it was gone....I think my nephews got a hold of it.....so I too replaced it just a few years ago but a lot more than $12!!!!!
