    Here is a nice relic with what looks like some battle damage .
    A little confused bout the transition
    - Hoping this was a ww2 version
    The damage has a very tight hole pattern - has someone seen this type of damage before?- Looks like shrapnel.
    Opinions appreciated- Hoping to display as my British ww2 helmet

    Looks like a 22 group and a glancing blow from same cal IMO. Done sometime ago. Not shrapnel to me far as damage.
    Just my opinion.

    Looks to be a Mk2 going by the Mk3 chin strap lugs.
