?WW2? Brodie Helmets

First up is the Brodie which I'm sure is a repaint. Check out the brush strokes visible on the photograph of the top. Nice aging, though. The liner looks very bulgey on this fellow.

Here's the warden helmet! The woman in the framed photograph is my aunt, who used to be (of course) a nurse (As have been my Grandmother (her sister)) and my Uncle (this woman's niece, my grandmothers' son). She is *not* the source of these helmets, but just ended up in the picture because her photograph is in the most well-lit portion of my room.

HI,
The warden one is a Canadian helmet, there helmets were left in the factory army colour. Are there any markings on the shell like G.S.W DP&H & a date? Any chance of a picture of the other helmet from the inside.

There were no markings I could see, inside or out. Where would they be?

I doubt they did paint anti-gas paint on there helmets because you would need to be with someone else to look at your helmet to see it. If it was done then it was would have been very small scale. They used to put it on vehicles.

Some polish Exile helmet eagles were painted in gas-detecting paint. it generally appears in a mustard yellow color (with variations).

Here is an example from a paratrooper helmet.

The markings on the shell are normally on the inside on the brim, near to where your thumb is. So both are Canadian.
IvanPutski, Intereseting about the gas detecting paint being used to paint the Polish eagle. Was this to detect gas or was it because that was the only yellow they had?

I can't tell if it's really a V or if it says C.L / C because it is extremely faint.

I cannot make out any marking whatsoever on the Warden helmet.

I do live in Canada.
