    Salty but 100% original piece. Many of these badges were fixed later on what can indicate that it does not totally fit perfect.
    Let me know if you want to let this puppy go.

    nice French M26 with a early artillery badge, definitely a wartime piece

    the badge is WWI era but they continued using these during early WWII

    be careful, many have postwar liners and badges.

    In that case I will only pick any up that look like this one and if they are cheap.

    it may look a little rough but it's original and complete with liner, chin strap, badge, hard to find these with all the original parts , usually somethings missing.

    the adjustment string can be easily replaced with a old black shoe lace, the originals used a black shoe lace type string also.
