Hi Nuno,
I recently got one of these, very cool hats. This one looks identical to mine which came from a officer in the US Army (South Pacific). This one looks to be in great shape. If you are bidding on this keep in mind they are not worth a lot so don't spend too much.

I have one, marked with US Navy contract...... Mine is a bit battered and as I bought it from the States it cost me far more in postage than it cost. Doh!!!!

Hi again Nuno,
I'm not an expert on these, I'm only comparing it to one I have, but the USMC one looks like a modern made helmet to me. The EGA looks very new also. I would pass on that one myself. I can't help you on the date but a stamp like that would be very easy to do up. The Army one still looks OK, color, wear and overall look.

The NSXS sun helmet is could be 'Corp used. NSXS is Navy issue stock identifer. Remember the 'Corp is part of the Naval Department. Other is a regular Army one with a device attached. You can put any device on anything and it does not mean it is correct. Rich A. in Pa.
