1922 pattern OR's Sd cap Queens Royal Regiment

A recent pick up from ebay that was incorrectly described as an officers cap. Whilst it is unusual for an other ranks cap to have regimental buttons it is in all other respects a textbook example being of the coarser wool fabric, metal buckles on the chinstrap and a all gm badge on a slider.

It is named underneath though is sadly not very legible, DD or DA RSM is possibly correct, which makes it interesting if it was formerly that of an RSM with the regiment. Some research is needed. It might read DARSIN?

Very nice Jerry. The shape looks 1922 pattern but shipouldnt they have a sewn seam on the band. Could it be earlier?

It might be Oli though it does have a vertical seam at the rear in the center of the band.
