I picked this along with lots of other Military items from an old collection, they had this and said it was military, the makers mark states that the company is a Military Outfitter, but I have never seen one like this. Any Ideas?

British made but unusual to see it with poppers on both sides. There are quite a few variations to the British made examples and I don't think much study has been devoted to them as yet.

Not certain, but this link might help. Circa WWI I would assume but not sure. Are the poppers maker marked?

That's an interesting slouch. The holes around the crown are different to the norm as well as the twin poppers.

WOW!!! That's the same hat with a few more holes punched in it, I would have never thought it was 1900!!! But mine does show age, and the hat in your post has the 2 poppers and the same 2 lines of air holes around the Crown

    THANK YOU!!!

That Makes 2 Boar War Hat I have, and I don't even collect that sort of thing!!
