Looks a convincing match IMO, with double poppers and lots of small vent holes around the dome edge.

I have been looking at trying to track down more examples of the earlier slouch hats. I think this example of Deans is Likely to be Circa 2nd Boer war period, very nice.

Bumping this because I bought what appears to be an early slouchie which I will post in another thread.
