    Hi Rene,
Could you please post your 45 made Fur Felt for comparison mate.
As you know the vent colour is always a good rule of thumb re era of manufacture.
Interested as I was under the opinion the vent colour changed in the early 50's but your example may prove this incorrect.
I made the call based on Vent colour, Carr snap and the brim edging. Is your example brim edged Rene ?
    Thanks mate.

Here ya go, this is also with the service caps and these are earlier mfg- brown vents can't be used as a rule of thumb - it's a good indicator though

These in my opinion would be rarer than ww2 types

Love those Service caps mate, You only posted them to make me drool. You bugger
Thanks for posting your examples Rene. Dark Greenie Brown ? for want of a better description.
Note the difference in colour of your examples and the 53 I posted. The 53 has much lighter green vents.
Good stuff Rene as always mate.
    Cheers my friend

Sorry guys I beg to differ - my 45 dated caps have the green vents
    As I posted,

I think the green air vents are post war, war time examples have brown, though others probably know better than me.

and glad to be proven wrong.
    Regards,

    Jerry

    Whatever its just an opinion.
