Aussie WW2 Slouch Hats

If you Google for the book "Memoirs of an AWAS Driver" the front cover has a photo with the lady wearing a totally different style of hat. More like the ATS pattern except it appears to have a leather edged peak.
Does anyone know anything about this cap?

G'day fellas, I was lucky enough to pick up this little beauty on the weekend, a nice original WW11 Aussie Slouch hat, it will go very nicely with my Aussie mannequin. All I need is an original 2/4th Infantry Battalion colour patch and I'll be happy!

Rene, it hasnt got one! It's got a few moth nips, its definately seen better days but I'm pretty happy with it. They really are iconic, like all Aussies, I love em!

Wow cool thread, here's my slouch hat it's dated '1943 was lucky enough to get this one from a fellow collector.
Wouldn't mind another one to add to it.
