Its an original piece, it was officers issue due to the red linen.
Its not in the best of shape so try not to overpay.

Pith helmets in this kind of relic condition wouldn't be worth much.
There is no way to restore the deteriorating cork base. I would wait for one in good condition.

We all have different opinions on this "fair price" question.
I wouldnt go above than 30 euros.

Thanks for advice Steve and Nuno. Never had a pith helmet before, so think I will place a small bid even though the condition is rather poor.

I agree with all that has been said, not worth a great deal in this condition, but if cheap enough perhaps.
