Fairly sure this one is post war. All the wartime ones in the Museum are brass or white metal. Nice cap all complete.

I did post WWII or shortly after, and I am happy to bow to your experience, though I am surprised that officer caps would not have Bronze OSD badges on during the war?

Everything is packed for storage now including the books.
