The badge appears to Italian, not just the Beret maker. I think you did very well for 10 bucks.

This is not a Canadian Military Beret, either made elsewhere or civilian bought

    Morning everyone,
it is a beret of the 3rd Heavy Missile Artillery Regiment of the Italian Army.
Probably used in the 60s, this is a private purchase with badge for Officer, it was customary to buy these berets privately by choosing an alternative model to the standard outfit, choosing from examples of Canadian, French or Spanish style.
The label with which they were marketed was Italian, but I do not know if they were produced in Italy or elsewhere.
Among the Italian Army Units that most liked to customize their berets, there were Paratroopers, among which the Canadian style was highly appreciated.
At the end of this my post on Italian Paratroopers, you can see a privately purchased beret of the Canadian style, with a similar label:

    Italian Para M42/60

    Regards
