Japanese?

When I used my Google Fu. and typed in Japanese leather pilot helmet.
They have an image of this same helmet. the link to that site said between wars, but it did not say Japanese.
Just my 2 centavos!!!

Yepper, Phil! That does, indeed, look to be this exact kind of helmet! A shame they're so ambiguous in their identification, though! I'm thinking, in other words, that They didn't know what the heck it was any more than We do!

I do not think this is Japanese. All Japanese flight helmets I have ever seen have Army or Navy insignia sewn to the front. They also have a label sewn inside.
