    I thought this beret was interesting having the original officersKings Royal Rifle Corps beret badge and backing, though I don't know more about its significance to battalion, the maker is the oldest hat makers in the world, still going today, I presume its ww2 period has the nipple and weave pattern to the top

    Hi there,

    My guess is WWII period, but not an expert on berets nor the King's Royal Rifle Corps. I must say though, I really like the beret, a nice addition to your collection I'm sure. Sorry I can't be of more help, but really nice cap.

    thanks for the replies, I was going to write to the company and ask them about manufacture, I was curious if the tops were outsourced and then finished in house.

    Here is my KRRC officer's service cap; no backing to the badge.
    This one was made by A.J. White, of a very soft moleskin type material.

    What a beautiful service dress cap, I really like the look of it. I love Rifle Regiment Service Dress Caps in general, but this one is extra nice. Good condition too. Really nice cap.
