need help identifying a hat

Article about: i was told it was WWII and was wondering if that was true also i was wondering what kind of cap it is and what the ribbon and tag in the hat stand for

    It has new American Army officers insignia but absolutly not American nor do I think WWII.
    It is some kind of frankenstein cap that has no value at all.

    I am very sure it isn't ww2, because the hat is Dutch army issue.
    The label says "Amersfoort" which is the city where the hat is made at the "Hassing"factory.
    Probably from the 1960 till now.
    So the gold band also doesn't belong to the hat.
    The buttons and the emblem are American and also not ww2.
    If you paid money for it, go get your money back as soon as possible.

    dam that stinks this seams to keep happening to me it makes me not want to ever buy anything again i guess u really cant trust anyone when it comes to anything i keep getting screwed over on everything but thanks for the info

    SteveR and Theo are correct. A modern Dutch cap with modern US insignia applied.

    Post photos of items before you buy for comment on their originality,
    then you'll be much better prepared.........
