Hi All, A change of sex!! Some US Army Female officer's caps for wear with the Blue Dress Uniform. For reasons that I am not aware of, Lady officers do not wear BOS coloured bands nor do they wear the female coloured band. Perhaps someone out there may know and tell me why. Female General officers do not, at least to the best of my knowledge, wear the GO cap type bands. Ergo the Blue Uniform cap distinctions for female officers of both field and general rank mirror the Green Class A uniform cap distinctions??

Hi Rene, Thank you for your very kind comments. There are still quite a few US Army caps to come then I will start on the USAF, then the RAF then the RN then the.................. Who decides if it is worth making the thread into a sticky as a reference? There is quite a lot of info which may help a starter cap collector especially if you were to link both the USN/USMC/USMM/USPHS/USCG thread with the US Army and hopefully the USAF thread when I get around to it. When I started the thread I had intended to show both the cap and its interior but as I only have pics of the caps and due to an imminenent cross country house move, all of my caps are boxed up so I can not take more pics. Hay ho thats life!!!! When or if I ever get around to unpacking them i will show some more manufacturer's labels etc. Why don't you add some more of your caps to the thread? I think that caps are very interesting, coloufull and make a good uniform focal point.
Cheers and best wishes. Look forward to seeing some more of your "Stuff" and your EG collection. By the way Rene, what else floats your boat??? Rgards Michael R
    G'day Michael,

Thanks Mate I give credit when it's due. Bit of luck Steve (Walkwolf) will make this one a sticky? I understand about the difficulties on accessing the collection trust me! as to my boat floating, I'm a jack of all trades
Here's my poultry lot of US army peaked caps.

Hi Rene, Thank you for your message and photos etc. It is a great shame that you people from down under don't speak English lie wot we does! Your message is a prime example you say "poultry" which is something we have for Sundy dinner whereas I would say "desireable"!!! So, being as I am English and the language is English, unlike our cricket team (who were robbed), I claim the points. Nice caps. However, the guy wearing the crusher needs a shave!!
Cheers Rene Regards and best wishes Michael

PS Nice eagles as well. I have a collection of US birds and find them very attractive!!

These caps are Class A Green Female Uniform caps ranked to field/general officers. My favourite cap is the white summer field officer's cap which belonged to a Ltc. A cap that I have been after for a long time. If anyone out there has any more white female caps for sale or trade, I could use about 3 so please let me know. Cheers MR

Hi, This cap is up for and open to debate. I purchased it as a military band officer's cap. I based my decission to buy on the US Eagle and and Cloud cap device but noticed when it arrived that the scroll and motto are missing. Judging by its wear and tear and general appearance that this is an early cap and having Googled the name on the label without result, it is quite an early cap. My guess would be circa WWI?? I would be most greatfull for any observations or comments regarding this cap. Ergo is it Military, Civilian marching band, ROTC, Military Accademy or what? Also any idea of date or comments re the labels etc.

    Thank you Michael R
