US Lightweight Summer Officers Cap

My latest addition, arrived today from the States. I managed to grab this with buy it now from a seller who obviously had no idea what she had. There was another winter type too, but I wasn't fast enough.
This one has certainly got that"been there" look alright, and not having handled one of these before I was very surprised how "lightweight" it really is. Not a crusher at all, but for the ridiculously low price I had it for., I really don't care too much. I suppose there is one advantage to being stuck looking at a computer screen 24/7, and that is I can haunt the "newly listed" search in eBay USA.



The price? £15.74/$24.99. A bit of good luck for a change!

Good grief, I took the badge off to post the name, then I forgot to! Age, I think.
"Gemsco" and "Acid Test." Not a particularly rare maker I believe. So what is (the) "Acid Test?" I've seen it before and often wondered.

Thanks Jerry, she's a touch threadbare in places, and the leather sweatband has a bit of mold, (I'll fix that)
so I think she came out of the woodwork rather than from a collection.
Anyway, she's safe now and will be very well looked after, and I think she looks rather well for her age.
