I had a similar Gassion Cap with Captains Bars, but was lost by a old girlfriend who went out as one of the Andrew Sisters for Halloween.
It was unfortunate but she look amazing. Nice cap.

I've fairly sure the insignia was added by the seller, I forgot the guys name on ebay. But he's been adding insignia to overseas caps for a while. As slaps a pretty high price on them. Doesn't make much sense for the winged prop to be worn on an officers overseas cap. I would think it would only have the Lt bar. The photo you have posted is of an EM, I have seen the winged prop worn on tons of EM Caps just not officers.

I have been searching for a pic of those wings being worn on any garrison cap and That is the first pic I have found in my entire time since I posted the original post.

Feel free to post them. I love AAF pic's

I do apologize , that was a bit of a snap. Bad day at work., Lost a coworker this weekend.Blah blah blah,

It could be very true that a money grubber seller could of put that on.
I'm not sure how long it takes for verdigris to form , I thought it took some time. But here is a pic of under the flap and you can see it on the inner side of the cap and one of the clutched used.

Well after I joined a AAF forum on FB.
I have found out that the pic's I posted that I thought were officers are actually Cadets.
Like the pic seand1111 posted of his father as a cadet. As you can see from his pic of his Father. He is wearing the officer insignia but does not have any rank yet..
And to top that off apparently enlisted men wore these in the 1942-42 time frame .
So I am back to square 1 for looking for a period pic of my combo...…………..
