Article about: Hello Here is my first thread on this Forum This was in the bottom of a seabag all crushed and smelling like mildew from almost 10' feet away. Soaked it in cold water and let it dry on a hat

    Yes it is the HBT fabric. Thanks for asking. Little hard to tell from the photos, Will see if i can add better pics of the HBT over the weekend...

    Here are some more photos of this cover showing the grommets & HBT. Sorry for poor resolution. Also the EGA insignia has a small hole in the middle where a metal EGA was mounted at some point. This usually denoted a member of the Raiders or Marine Recon, OOHRAH !

    im a long while late but for your info its a ww2 usmc cover because in ww2 the usmc were issued usmc covers made from us army hbt pattern and also the same with usmc camo

    That is a Pattern 44 soft cover.

    Yes, when situations dictated. I have a Pattern 44 USMC blouse with a 1945 contract made of army weave HBT.
