ww2 USMC overseas cap?

Hello everyone,
i bought this over seas cap at an antique store and had a ww2 label on it and i decided to buy it. however, i have done some research and now i don't think that it is a WW2 cap at all, it has a marine corp insignia and a small hole on the opposite side. can you guys tell me whether its ww2 or not?
