Hi guys,
A friend of mine gave me these the other day. What are they for exactly? Canadian dress uniform? Are these two different types of berets or are the differences just manufacturer variation?
Thanks!
Mo

The beret was worn on all occasions. During the war Brit/Commonwealth armies only had one type of uniform worn all all occasions, they might just retain one for "best" or "walking out". We could not afford the luxury of a dress uniform.
The berets are from different makers but are the same thing. The one on the left has had the lining removed.
Nice gift!

The one on the right is the more conventional
or 'correct material' type we see.........

Steve.
The one on the left might be a British made example with as Ade posted its liner removed.

Jerry
