Not the patch exactly one that looks almost to the very same manufacturing. You are correct this patch shouldn't glow, I believe that this patch was made in the 1960s for vets on possibly vietnam era wear. compare the two patches they are almost identical101st Airborne Patch - What Era.........?

So, in your opinion, the above two ebay types in the links provided (with similar eyes)
are both modern fakes being sold as 'original' patches.........?

Either they are modern or possibly very late vietnam not sure, but 100 percent positive that these are not ww2.

I hear you Gel, and I see the reverse you mention - it lacks the 'snow' feature.
If repros, these are exremely well made and quite convincing. I'm probably
not the first guy to be fooled by these and pay the spiraling
    price of an original.

I suppose that all these 101st ABN patches with 'Wishbone' shaped eyes,
thicker tabs, no 'snow', and too much tan edging should be considered
    modern fakes/repros..........

    Steve.

Front and reverse of 101st ABN patch. I have to agree - it is a very well made repro.
These must fool a lot of people into thinking they have an original unissued
    patch - Sure fooled me.........!
