    Here are some items i got today allfrom Africa 1943 to a Lt J.M.Barnes 954191 1 Batalion parachute regiment. Airgraphs have bits of info P 'COY' AAC B.N.A.F on one and General hospital M.E.F. 25/7/1943 Can anybody give me anymore info on him please he came from Wembley.

    To be in Africa so late in 1943 he must of been wounded late 42? i would think and stayed in hospital?

    He could have been wounded in the operations in Tunisia in late 42 or those in Sicily in July 9th/10th 43, though the former is perhaps more likely.

    Jerry yes that makes sense definitely. Wonder if he made Arnhem? Would be interesting to know if his wounds allowed him to carry on!

    Yes tried para data there was a J M Barnes But wrong battalion grecce campaign.
