    Hello sirs,

I picked this group up yesterday with a lot of paperwork and pictures. It was all stuffed in the old trunk shown in the first picture. Family members were cleaning out the house of deceased relatives and everything is as I dug it out of the trunk.

Paperwork include service documents, letters from mom, and girlfriends..some not so happy with him. Photos include military and girlfriends/family. There is also a lot of paperwork from his brother who was WW2 USMC. I have not gone through any of that yet.

A quick glance through the paperwork with this group leads me to believe that he hit Europe around 1946. I know for sure that he was in Germany in 46 but may have been there sooner..Just not certain yet.

Here are a few pictures. Unfortunately bugs were not kind to many of these items.

Any info on the patches (ovals), DUI's, or anything else that may strike you as odd would be appreciated.

    Best,
    Rob

This is pretty interesting. It's a summer weight "Ike" style jacket made from a shirt. At first I thought it may have been made for a child however I have since found pictures of the man wearing it.
