    Good looking.
    It was popular to buff the wings after the war. Airborne guys were always innovative with their insignia.

    Not to sure if this is 82nd Abn.

    Do you have provenance?

    The second pattern oval 187th Airborne Regimental Combat team used the same color combo when the 82nd went to new design mid 1950's.

    The first pattern 187th oval was blue outer orange inner.

    The construction looks typical 1950's

    No provenance. If this was 187th i would be very happy.

    Have to ask you Jdamaso, if the clutch pins on the reverse
    have heads on them like a nail.........?

    FYI - if you were thinking these were WWII wings,
    regulations for the prong, or 'nail head' type of
    attachment was specified in 1960.........

    Thanks for all the info guys! Ill try to take better photos when able of the oval and posts on the wing.
