Can you ID the formation? WW II Arab special forces?

Hello,

Can anybody recognise this Arab formation from WW II period?
The photo was made by Polish soldier in 1943 in Iraq.

You can see cap badge and shoulder patch.

Any ideas welcomed!

The badge on the keffiyeh is for the Arab Legion, but I don't recognise the arm badge.

Have a look at item #103055 from Mons military antiques: "BRITISH FORCES OVERSEAS PALESTINE".
It may be the same?
