Here's another bad Kangol beret, similar to one shown by Jerry
WWII WW2 Para Red Beret Army Air Corps Arnhem SAS Pegasus 1944 dated | eBay
Jerry, in December 1942 some 9,800 green commando berets were ordered. Roughly 80% was between size 6 7/8 and 7 1/4. Now, assuming that commandos and airborne troops have similar head sizes, the average replica maroon beret is too small.
Most period headgear is too small for me, but I agree that the size is too small, though I was commenting that all theses fakes of the same type are all the same size, which is too small, and all the same date and the date 44 is appropriate for selling as Arnheim fakes.

A post war Kangol being sold as WWII. Note it has a slider pocket for the badge and the makers logo is on two lines, wartime it was all in one line. See Steves pinned beret thread. Wwii british berets traits and construction

Great post, made me think twice before buying a para beret, regardless of the source. A disgusting amount of money is being paid for these fakes.
