M42 Jacket.. Any thoughts?

I picked this up a few years ago and it looks legit to me. No signs of patches ever having been attached. No names/laundry numbers etc. There is a manufacture tag inside the lower right pocket but it's faded or washed out to the point of being unreadable.

Appears to be faded blood stains here and there but it could be rust.. not sure.

Any thoughts from the experts?
