The uniform is from the 60s it is not ww2 or is this what you were going for
but its covered in ww2 medal ribbons?
Alright so i looked at the pictures closer and the tags say 1957 :/ could this be a soldiers jacket that was a replacement for one? or did someone just sew on all these ribbons and patches to fool me?
I think that this one is put together it is 12 years after the war, if the man stayed in he was be a much higher rank. The ribbon bars I think were added to spice up the uniform
so is it even worth the price? (72.01 canadian with 56.57 canadian for shipping)
The uniform apparently belonged to a WW2 veteran who remained in the service after the war, attaining the rank of Sergeant-Major. Other than the rank of Command Sergeant-Major, it's the highest enlisted rank achievable....
cheers, Glenn
Is it unusual that the highest award he would have on the left side is the good conduct medal? Not even an army commendation medal or anything? I guess it's possible but he must have been riding a desk somewhere.
Perhaps he was an Active Reservist with no combat experience? Just guessing!
cheers, Glenn
I thought that, too Glenn, after I made my previous reply. That is possible.
So its possible that this is a legit uniform just after the war he became a desk jockey?
