Anyone else on this forum collect PIR ovals ?
I really enjoy collecting them here and there piece by piece over the years.
I dont get too deep with it , just when I can find a good one at a cheap price.

Second picture, 2nd row from top, far right, is that not the oval for the 327th GIR?

Looking for militaria from HKB 31./977, HKB 32./977, HKB 38./977 or militaria related to Norway
All mine are 1950's & 60's models , like I said I dont get too deep with them , but most WW2 ones are a distinct football shape , overall rather than the 50's Oval style . But hey , if you have a look on Ebay these are commonly flogged off as WW2 items which they aint , or fakes if they are football shaped. The 50's tin ones they dont seem to bother faking yet , as no real market , but the cloth ones is open slather . Still they are fun to collect if you have a good eye as you can pick up good 50's & 60's ones real cheap.
Interesting - I have never seen metal versions before.........!
Regards,
Steve.
Very nice lot there, I've seen a lot of the tin ovals from the 50s but have seen only a few on uniforms must not have been made long or we too easily damaged.
