Thought shall be the harder , heart the keener,
Courage the greater as our strength faileth.
Here lies our leader ,in the dust of his greatness.
Who leaves him now , be damned forever.
We who are old now shall not leave this Battle,
But lie at his feet , in the dust with our leader

Lest We Forget
Condolences to the family and friends of this brave man.
Nice to see this old thread from 2010 back up. Tony was always entertaining to listen to.
I will be at the XXI reunion in just over a weeks time.
Cheers, Ade.

The video in the Hartenstein of the interview with Tony was very moving , all the more so because he has now jumped onto the last DZ . His apology for using bad langauge never thinking that this piece of wallpaper would end up in a museum and his description of the first two Germans he sniped at Arnhem shows what it means to be a soldier and to do your duty !!

Always makes me sad to see a vet leave this world. Our home town just lost one of the few last vets a few weeks back.
That wallpaper is really striking
