Hi Guys, I had some sad news last night. My parents called to tell me my friend Peter Boyle has died.

I had know Peter for 20 years. He was a real gentleman. I was priviledged to have know him and hear his story first hand. I will post more about him later in the week when I feel more like it...

    RIP Peter.

    Cheers, Ade.

    REGARDS AL

We are the Pilgrims , master, we shall go
Always a little further : it may be
Beyond that last blue mountain barred with snow
Across that angry or that glimmering sea...

Another brave soldier leaves us .

I had total admiration for the glider pilots. Did they volunteer for that most dangerous of jobs?

    RIP

Ade very sorry to hear about your friend.

Wide wings away in the fathomless sky,
    Courses charted true and straight,
    Heroes are your cargoes now,
    Destination-- Valhalla's gate.

    Joyously they laughed and lived!
    Gloriously they fought and won!
Kin they are to all the god's,
To stars, and winds and burnished sun!
This poem was written durring the war for a glider pilot. I thought it fit.
