Now that is soooo cool ! I want that to sit on my shelf ! Where did you find a pigeon to buy lol
Pigeon from Ebay - £25, (Yes I do think I'm losing it!) there are a couple more from the same seller. The capsule was bought several years ago
Do you remember the name of the eBay seller? I am looking for one as an accoutrement for my 1943 Willys MB US Army Jeep, themed as a "Pigeoneering" vehicle belonging to the 828th Pigeon Signal Company, US Army Signal Corps. I have PG51 containers, capsules, and leg bands.
Type 'taxidermy pigeon' into eBay. It brings up a few different pigeons. I'm pretty sure the seller I bought it from was 'Antlersuk', on eBay location it states UK, however, I'm sure mine came from Poland. Either way it turned up within a week, well packed, I didn't have any issues and as you can see looks very good! I have checked this evening and they have two pigeons and some other birds, it may pay to contact the seller as they may be able to get some standard pigeons and mount them in a more suitable manner for your vehicle and containers.

Thanks much.
Very unique.
Now that's a piece you don't see every day!
How else would you display a WWII Carrier Pigeon leg capsule ?
Good 'stuff' Grimebox. Makes for a unique and interesting
display, and best of all - no poop to clean up.........!
Regards,
Steve.
