    Don't know what it is , all I can say its definitely US made and looks more civilian than military and possibly to do with a university or school. Construction range from the 40's to 60's made.

    Hi, I cannot comment as to what it is, but cheesecloth backing was widely used in 60s & 70s

    Thats true Kev .

    The only way to test the era it was constructed is by doing a black light test.

    If it glows and lights up like a xmas tree would be polyester thread based, circa mid 50's onwards ,if not its pre mid 50's rayon thread.

    Most patches, SSI , military, that used this style of construction tends to be 40's to 60's.

    It looks more civilian than military
