Article about: Hiya Lads, don't get too hot under the collar looking at these Here are the ATS issue stockings. These are the nice quality ones. These are "fully fashioned". Maker marked and date

    Thanks Nick. They are really hard to find. The bra's especially. I have never even seen one for sale. There are some dark green ones just with a WD broad arrow ink stamped mark which fasten up with tie tapes. But I am not fully convinced about them as they are not listed in the official scales of issue which I have.

    Top post Lez , on my Battlefield trips i have hads some long conversations with my old WW2 veteran friends of the intricacies and difficulties of the said undergarments from the wartime and how to get past them !!!

    Amazing collection,Lez! The sanitary belt...how many can still exist? I imagine those were the First thing to get flung with many a searing oath into the dust bin once the war was over! And, glad to see You back too, by the way! Now get that plaster off, hey!

    In reality the "bigger girls" got the Corselettes, ATS to help hold everything in place.

    Lez i showed this thread to two old mates Frankie ( ex DLI and Royal Scots ) and Gill ( Ex 2 Ox and Bucks ) last night both are 87 years old , they loved it , it took them back to being 19 /20 years old again , they asked me to send their thanks for taking them down memory lane ........... although i can't repeat the memories !!!
