It's Aussie, the second tag shows it, In comparison to my khaki ones the metal buttons are the same. Mind you I haven't encountered those shoulder board buttons before.
With the large tag now that I look at it again, is similar to the paper tags found on unissued clothing items.
Not a common item you have as I haven't seen them around.

That's strange, every Australian BD I have ever seen has those same shoulder buttons. For me they're a tell-tale sign of Aussie manufacture.

Thanks Rene for your opinion. Always good to get confirmation it's original and to hear that it's not so commonly seen.

No worries Mate and again I have to add that I don't have one of these or have seen one in person (all of my Aussie kit was collected before I had a PC, first PC in 04) , I can only refer to my pile of other Aussie uniforms.
This is a nice jacket with an early date

I assume that most of these early wool BD's were supplied to the British and therefore would not be commonly seen, especially in Australia.

I would assume so too as Aussie soldiers wore the two models of four pocket wool jacket

    Australian made BD Blouse.
    Aussie BD?Aussie BD?Aussie BD?

"A very nice 1942 dated Australian made Battle Dress blouse, this was issued to a British serviceman fighting in the Far East, we had several items of his kit much of which was Australian, Canadian and Indian made and only a small amount British so a real mish mash of clothing and kit as was common in the Far East."
Best copies of the images I could get, sorry if their on the small side but I thought this may- be useful.
    Cheers Folks
