    Walgrove, NSW. 1940. An informal group portrait of new recruits ("giggle suiters") in the 2/19th Battalion. It was their first week with the battalion.

    thank you buna for the information. i have heard that there were hats called that, just not trousers and jackets,.

    when i was in cadets. the only hat that would fit my head was called by this name.
