Thanx for showing it John IMO they are very important pieces of history I find that a lot of them have been stripped down and are and were used by reinactors which in my opinion is a shame as they have there own story to tell through the flashes, badges and awards that adorn them to find one that you can tie to a specific soldier is a bonus good to see that they are starting to be appreciated by other collectors for what they are.

Thanks Ade, first time I've ventured into this field of collecting ! are the red enamel crowns for the rank of major? ,not too hot on rank insignia !,
cheers,
John.
And post 53 as they are Queen's crowns.

Jerry

Thanks mark, I will try to scan the document that was in the pocket to see if I can make out a name, the writing is very faint pencil, I can make out the items drawn from the stores, but the signature is very difficult to read, would love to be able to tie it down to a name !,
cheers,
John,
