    Hi Ade,
I see you are located in South Derbyshire. I'm from Buxton myself. Is there anywhere you can recommend for doing the zip repairs to my flying jacket? It could do with a good cleaning and leather treatment too I think.
    Cheers
    Chris

There is a small shop in Belper which does repairs/alterations. The girl there does great work. We had a zipper replaced in an ATS handbag by her.

    Just found her website:

I used to have one of these suits that fitted me , this in its self was no mean feet as I’m 6’ 4”, anyway it’s a great bit of kit to carry around for an “Instant re-enactment” or quick wardrobe change over, or in other words turn up at the show in your jeep wearing your normal jeans and jacket, and then hay presto turn in to “tankerman“ LOL, just zip up your pixie suit, don your stud free ammo boots, your tankers long strap holster, and then a black RTR beret and your finished an instant re-enactor, all of ten minutes if that.

    Nige.

Hi, A couple of pics of my flying jacket. It's looking a bit the worse for wear unfortunately.
